INTRODUCTION TO CYBER CRIMES

 CYBER CRIME

Cyber crime is a crime that involves a computer and a network. Cyber crime is committed by cyber criminals or hackers who want to make money by wrong methods. Cyber crime is carried out by individuals or organizations.

In general cyber crime may be defined as “Any unlawful act where computer or communication device or computer network is used to commit or facilitate the commission of crime”.

When any crime is committed over the Internet it is referred to as a cyber crime. There are many types of cyber crimes and the most common ones are listed as below-

• Hacking

• Theft and sale of corporate data.

• Cyberextortion (demanding money to prevent a threatened attack).

• Ransomware attacks (a type of cyberextortion).

•  Cyber Bullying

• Cyber stalking

• Online Job Fraud

• Sim Swap Scam

• Debit/Credit card Fraud- Theft of financial or card payment data.

•  Phishing

• Spamming

• Virus, Worms & Trojans 

• Online Drug Trafficking

• Website Defacement

• Data Breach

• Impersonation and identity  thefts
  

• Denial of Service /Distributed DOS

                                                   साइबर अपराध 

  साइबर अपराध एक ऐसा अपराध है जिसमें एक कंप्यूटर और एक नेटवर्क शामिल होता है। साइबर अपराध साइबर अपराधियों या हैकरों द्वारा किया जाता है जो गलत तरीकों से पैसा कमाना चाहते हैं। साइबर अपराध व्यक्तियों या संगठनों द्वारा किया जाता है। 

  सामान्य तौर पर साइबर अपराध को "किसी भी गैरकानूनी कार्य के रूप में परिभाषित किया जा सकता है जहां कंप्यूटर या संचार उपकरण या कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क का उपयोग अपराध के कमीशन या सुविधा के लिए किया जाता है"।

   जब कोई अपराध इंटरनेट पर किया जाता है तो उसे साइबर अपराध कहा जाता है। साइबर अपराध कई प्रकार के होते हैं और उनमें से सबसे आम नीचे सूचीबद्ध हैं- 

  • हैकिंग 

  • कॉर्पोरेट डेटा की चोरी और बिक्री। 

  •  साइबरएक्सटॉर्शन (एक धमकी भरे हमले को रोकने के लिए पैसे की मांग करना)। 

  • रैंसमवेयर अटैक (एक प्रकार का साइबरएक्सटॉर्शन)। 

  • साइबर बुलिंग 

  •  साइबर स्टाकिंग

  •  ऑनलाइन नौकरी धोखाधड़ी 

  • सिम स्वैप घोटाला 

  •  डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड धोखाधड़ी- वित्तीय या कार्ड भुगतान डेटा की चोरी।

  •  फ़िशिंग

  •  स्पैमिंग 

  •  वायरस, WORMS और ट्रोजन 

  •  ऑनलाइन नशीली दवाओं की तस्करी 

  •  वेबसाइट विकृति डेटा भंग

  •  प्रतिरूपण और पहचान की चोरी सेवा से इनकार / वितरित डॉस
